SCOPE OF THIS POLICY
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Empowering Success LLC, d/b/a JB Income Taxes (“JBIT,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information in connection with registration for and attendance at Trustee Boot Camp (the “Event”), including through our registration and checkout pages. It does not cover information you provide to us outside the context of the Event, such as through a separate tax, trust, or bookkeeping engagement, which is addressed under our firm's general client privacy practices.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Registration information: full name, email address, and phone number provided at checkout.
Emergency contact information: name and phone number of an emergency contact, collected as part of the Event waiver.
Health-related information you choose to share: food allergies, dietary restrictions, or accessibility needs voluntarily disclosed so we can attempt reasonable accommodations.
Payment information: processed directly by our third-party payment processor at checkout. JBIT does not directly store full payment card numbers.
Communications: any messages you send us regarding the Event, and records of confirmation, reminder, and follow-up messages we send you.
Media: photographs, video, or audio recordings captured at the Event, as described in the Event Waiver's Media Release section.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
To process your registration and payment and confirm your ticket.
To communicate with you about the Event, including confirmations, reminders, schedule or venue updates, and logistics.
To respond to accommodation requests you voluntarily provide.
To send you related educational content and, where you have not opted out, information about future JBIT events, services, or promotions.
To maintain records of Event attendance, waiver acknowledgment, and payment for our internal business and compliance purposes.
To improve future events based on aggregated, de-identified attendance and engagement data.
HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Event, including with:
Our registration, payment, and marketing automation providers (currently GoHighLevel and Stripe), solely to process registration, payment, and Event communications.
The Event venue, limited to what is necessary for room block coordination, headcount, and on-site logistics.
Referral or promotional partners, only where you registered through that partner's link and only to the extent needed to track that referral.
Legal or regulatory authorities, where required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of JBIT, our attendees, or others.
DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
DATA RETENTION
We retain Event registration, waiver, and related records for as long as reasonably necessary for our business, tax, and legal record-keeping purposes, and then delete or de-identify the information in accordance with our standard retention practices.
YOUR CHOICES
You may unsubscribe from marketing and promotional communications at any time using the link provided in those messages.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your registration information by contacting us using the details in Section 10, subject to our legitimate business and legal record-keeping needs.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Event is intended for adults. Registration is limited to individuals 18 years of age or older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. Continued registration or attendance after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
